Read before managing online images...
Here are some tips on how to pick one that works best for you.
Terms of Service: You must read closely Terms of Service of any site before signing up and passing on your valuable asset to a third party. In case of confusion read FAQ section, which could be of great help.
Image resolution: You must check if your service provider allows you to download high resolution image versions of your digital photos, so that you can transfer your images to other website when required. Picassa allows it free of cost while others like Kodak and Shutterfly charge an amount for that. Flickr allows you to download high resolution images for paid account or if your images are tagged as free for distribution and share photos with all users.
Photo deletion: Check if the website informs you before deleting any of your digital photo and if deleted, is it possible to retrieve photo back?
Free account or the paid one: Check your usage or requirements before signing up. If you are using the images for displaying on your website, check cautiously because every photo sharing site have a marked limit on download. If you are saving images for photo print and posting it to your address check for shipping charges, it should not happen that you have saved money on photo storage while end up paying huge amount as shipping charges, for the purpose you can also consider WalMart and other stores which have partnered with photo sharing sites and offer either free or marginal shipping charges.
Money refund: Look for sites that offer refunds if you're not satisfied with your order, such as Shutterfly.
Social networking sites: If you just need to share photos among your friends and community, use the free services offered on social networking sites like Orkut or Facebook.
